• Bathing

  The clinic also offers bathing for pets of all sizes, so treat your pet to a luxurious bath Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor - your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem our bather also performs medicated baths treatment for pets with sensitive skin, flaky skin or fleas and ticks. Medicated baths contain soothing agents that help stop the itching. Baths Include Nail trim Cologne/perfume

• Boarding

  Tuckaway Animal Hospital's primary goal for our boarding guests is to make sure their stay is as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The entire staff is concerned with each pet's welfare and happiness. Staff members can often be found in the kennels spending some quality time with each visiting pet. Dog Kennels Our dog kennels are air conditioned for summer and heated for winter, and all pets are rotated three times per day from our inside kennels to go outside. Unless provided by the owner, each pet will be fed Purina EN. Fresh water is always kept inside each kennel. We also offer a wide variety of prescription diets available for pets with special needs. When your pet stays with us three nights or more they also get a free bath prior to going home. Plan Ahead Boarding at Tuckaway Animal Hospital is by reservation only. All pets boarding at Tuckaway Animal Hospital must be current on vaccinations while they are staying with us. If your pet is not current on vaccinations we can update them when they arrive for their stay with us.

• Cat Boarding

  Cat owners take the time to feed, nurture, and lavish attention on their feline(s). Our staff do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling) to keep your healthy, happy and comfortable during their stay with us.

• Dental Care

  Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

• Hospice / Euthanasia Services

  Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

• Immunization and Wellness Care

  We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

  We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.

• Lasers

  Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain; less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce the risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.

• Microchipping

  Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery of your loved one(s).

• Nutritional Counseling

  Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. Here at Tuckaway Animal Hospital we carry a full line of prescription diets from Royal Canin, Purina and Hills Veterinary Diets.

  This non-invasive, state-of-the-are technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the hear and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
