Veterinarians

  • Dr. Steven Cybela , DVM


    Dr. Cybela grew up in the Milwaukee area, and became interested in the care and well-being of animals at a young age.

    He received his Bachelor of Science degree in bacteriology, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. He went on to veterinary school at the University, receiving his veterinary degree in 1998.

    Dr. Cybela is no stranger to Tuckaway, having practiced here from 1998 until 2001. From 2001 until his return in 2006, he was a staff veterinarian at a large shelter, where he supervised the shelter's spay/neuter assistance program.

    His veterinary interests include wellness care, general soft tissue surgery, and educational outreach. He has contributed articles on pet care to local publications and has appeared on "YourPet's Health" on Wisconsin Public Radio. He also enjoys giving talks on pet care and careers in veterinary medicine to schools and scout groups.

    Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Cybela's interests include reading, watching classic movies, rollerblading, and spending time with his son. They share their home with two cats, Faustina and Patience.


  • Dr. Angela Wedemayer , DVM


    Dr.Wedemayer was raised in Eagle, a small town in southeastern Wisconsin. She became interested in the care and well-being of animals at an early age, as her grandparents operated a small dairy farm in Menomonee Falls. She also volunteered at local veterinary hospitals and the humane society. 

    Dr. Wedemayer studied biology and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She obtained a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in 1997. She then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and obtained her veterinary degree in May 2001. 

    Dr. Wedemayer's areas of interest in veterinary medicine include small animal internal medicine, oncology, and behavior modification. She has dedicated her career to providing quality, compassionate care for all of her patients. 

    Her interests outside the clinic include spending time with her golden retriever's, Cooper & Bailey; traveling; photography and her passion for wildlife.
